European Centre for Career Education (ECCE) Summer School for International Students 2017 Program of Architecture

The European Centre for Career Education (ECCE, www.eccedu.org ) is an educational institution based in Prague. Over the last three years the organization has offered classes in Law, Business Law and International Commerce. This year, for the first time, the ECCE is offering programs in Architecture and Medicine. The ECCE programs are available to students from anywhere around the world.

The Architecture program consists of two stages: Lectures, followed by an Internship with an international architectural practice.

Lectures will commence on July 10th and for a period of three weeks 30 lectures will be held over morning sessions (Architecture, Cities, Land Development) and afternoons (History of European Architecture and Influences on the Present Day). During this period there will also be three successive weekend excursions to Vienna, Berlin and finally Zlin and Brno (two cities in the Czech Republic). These field trips will be closely related to the content of the history lectures.

Work internships will commence on July 28th for a four-week period. Students will be employed on a temporary basis in various architecture offices located in Prague and possibly also abroad. It is important to note that no salary is offered to the students for the internship period as this is a part of the education curriculum. The students will be placed in prestigious and internationally recognized firms, many with offices and affiliates located all over the world.
