이황(Hwang Yi)교수

Professor Hwang Yi, PhD, Assoc. AIA, completed his doctoral studies at the Stuart Weitzman School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania. He studied architecture at Seoul National University, where he received both Bachelor&aposs and Master&aposs degrees. Prior to joining KUA, he held tenure-earning professor positions at Florida International University in the United States (2016-2018) and Ajou University (2018-2023). Prof. Dr. Yi, an accomplished architect and expert in the field, is committed to expanding the boundaries of architecture through the integration of emerging technologies and sciences in building design and fabrication. His research is centered around architectural robotics, soft material engineering, artificial intelligence, and 3D/4D printing, with a particular nature-inspired focus on pioneering the concept of biological form of architecture, aiming towards the realization of building as living systems.
