ARCHISTORY KU │ 건축역사 연구실

연구실 소개

고려대학교 ‘건축역사·이론·비평 연구실’, 줄여서 '건축역사연구실(ARCHISTORY KU)'은 2008년 3월 김현섭 교수의 부임으로 시작되었습니다. 연구 주제는 건축의 역사·이론·비평에 관한 제반 이슈로서, 특히 동양과 서양의 경계를 넘나들며 '근현대건축의 형성 및 발전'을 연구하는 것과 한국 현대건축에 대해 비평 활동을 하는 것에 주안점을 두고 있습니다. 본 연구실은 건축가, 역사가, 연구원, 평론가, 학예사, 기자 등 다양한 목표를 가진 이들(학부연구생, 석사, 박사, 박사후과정생)에게 문이 열려 있으며, 본교생뿐만 아니라 타교 졸업생 및 외국인 유학생들에게도 균등한 기회를 부여합니다. 지금까지 연구원들은 학비의 대부분을 조교 장학금과 연구비로 충당 받아 왔습니다. 본 연구실에 관심 있는 분들은 김현섭 교수나 연구원들에게 문의 바랍니다.

ARCHISTORY KU, the research unit of architectural history·theory·criticism at Korea University Graduate School, was established with the appointment of Prof. Hyon-Sob Kim to his alma mater KU in March 2008. This research unit deals with all themes related to architectural history·theory·criticism, but in particular it focuses on researching the formation and development of modern architecture across the boundary between East and West, and also on criticism of contemporary Korean architecture. ARCHISTORY KU is open to any promising students or researchers - from not only Korea University but also other universities in Korea and abroad - who aim to be a competent architectural professional, such as, architect, historian, critic, researcher, curator, journalist, etc. Most of graduate students up to now have been awarded TA scholarships and research project salaries, which cover their tuition fees and part of living expenses.
